I am a born and raised Californian Navy Brat. My family lived in several locations in the far east when I was younger and I grew up for the balance of my teenage years along the west coast of the United States. I lived predominantly in Northern California and ended up starting my own family and settling in the Bay Area permanently. I have two sisters with families of their own. We keep in touch virtually and look forward to opportunities to gather as a giant clan when we can. My immediate family is comprised of my wonderful husband, our son, my mother-in-law and our sixteen year old cat - a three generation household. We have an internationally mixed household of Armenian Filipino Americans. I have a deep belief that I am meant to combine my hobbies, favorite things and my love of people into a service for the world. My hope is to be the best I can be for all the roles I play in my life.
When I'm not at work, I hang out with my family. I am an avid "self-developer" and "personal growth" junkie. I am committed to bettering myself, learning to love myself wholly and healing myself in all the ways I find myself in need. I like to study my own trauma and learn ways to navigate life by shining light in those dark spaces. I enjoy exploring natural remedies and can be found mixing up essential oils or studying the benefits of a raw diet at any given time. I believe in the powerful capabilities of our bodies to heal and often use myself as a test subject. From energy healing to sound baths - I am open to experiences that help add color to my world view.
I love to cook good food and watch good food being cooked! I appreciate every aspect of the food experience. You will find The Chef's Table, Great British Bake Off, and Somebody Feed Phil on my Netflix queue. I enjoy reading and listening to books - I have recently rediscovered my love of the library! I am also an avid writer - I had a few articles published many, many moons ago. All of these go hand in hand with my desire to learn and understand how things work.
